First, I cant find my rule book so I am going to generalize the question using the closest verbiage I can recall from memory....
Its in 4.CC.9
(*from 2011 book)
'The strake can not go more forward then the intersection of the belly pan/tray.'
My belly pan goes from nose to tail ......so what-where is my intersection of pan/tray????

2012 change: "...no further forward than the firewall or body cowl line, whichever is further forward."
Bold with usual rulebook meaning.

Thanks 4BM,
That makes perfect sense, I can see why they changed it!!!!

Ok I give up, what is a strake? Do motorcycles have them?

Fred, here is a good example of strakes on a car (*note the series of 'fins' on the back of the car). A MC could be built with strakes, I have seen odd things I would of never believed.....

That car is one of those "looks fast even when standing still" examples.
It sure would look good in my living room............... Bob

Bob, all due respect but you dont have much room for too much more cool stuff in your living room....
(*not like I have any room to talk!!!)
