I just noticed that the 2024 AMA Landspeed rulebook is available from the AMA website. The landspeed part of the rulebook is buried in all the AMA racing activities. Too big to attach here so open it with the link below and go to page 296.

I'll take bet.
What do you consider "not many".
There are 23 different classes for internal combustion engine displacements ranging from 50cc - 3000cc, and a variety of electric classes.

Should ad a bagger class. Two categories, leather and fiberglass.
