Ready or else, folks.  Here comes the real thing, after a winter of looking forward to this.  I'll probably turn on the audio stream tomorrow just 'cause I can, and also so you can make sure you can find it easily.  Real programming begins Saturday morning.

I'm alive!  Not so the power adapter for my MacBook, so I had to get the streaming one going before I could on here.

Status:  Yes, it has rained out here today - but basically, No, it hasn't rained.  The forecast had earlier predicted rain this afternoon through morning, but that's been moved back a few hours.  It's warm, cloudy, and there's almost no wind.

I'll let you folks play with yourselves while I try to start the stream.

I think the stream is up and running, playing somebody's (not mine) iPod.  The laptop I use for listening/quality control is down right now, so I can't check.  Let me know - I think the audio is funky right now but I'll work on it.

It's raining hard, with thunder and lightning (it's very very frightening), here at the Quality Inn in Wendover, and Al just sent a video clip of the downpour at the Nugget car show.  If I get reputable reports from the salt (about rain)  I'll pass them along.
 
Thanks for confirming the stream.  Ron stays out there overnights, and he gets up and turns on the radio (89.3 FM this year) but I fire up the stream when I mosey in.  If you're camped here and hear the radio but not the stream - now you know why.

With the poor weather (wind and clouds don't do much good for great photos) I didn't take pics any today.  I'll try to list who I saw - after I go enjoy the fine cuisine that's available around here.  Tonight I'm thinking of cheap spaghetti at the Red Garter.

I just drove out to Land's End.  They said they just got a few sprinkles, and that it looks good!  Lots of mud at the Bend in the Road, and even more in the mud flats between there and Land's End, though.

It rained enough that nobody is allowed on the salt this morning. Stay in town - we?ll find out more later on. Postponed, yes, but cancelled - not at all.
