Or left.... but I finally figured it out.   Just below the banner on the right it says Simple Machine Forum... and just to the right of that is a gray up or down arrow... must have moused close enough to click it... it makes your info and unread post stuff disappear...  :deal

I acquired the site from Jon A. back in '08 -- and this is the first time I've seen that little arrow.  13 1/2 years, hunh?
