Engines are running on the Ack Attack bike. Bike is rolling, out of the pits and under way.
Rocky's in the throttle and sounds like he's having fun!
Through the one mile, shifting and hitting gears and rolling, through the two mile.
Entering the fourth mile. Getting to the timed stretch.
Entry speed 302 kilo 306 mile 305
Chute is out, through the ten, looking good.
We expect they'll look at the data and decide pretty quickly whether they'll make a run back here soon.
Outriggers are down, slowing nicely, at the eleven mile.
For the sake of the discussion, remember that the FIM rules require, for a record, two runs in opposite directions within two hours, the average speeds of which must be above the existing record. (*I don't know if there's a minimum increase - like the 1% for cars). So, in other words, Rocky could make a handful of runs back and forth for four hours, and pick any two, one in each direction, the two of which have the fastest times and are within any two-hour portion of that four hours. I THINK THAT'S THE WAY IT GOES.
Final numbers on that run:
Entry speed 302.2 kilo 306.5 mile 305.9 exit speed 307.4
Peak of 4mph wind from SSE at the tower during that run.
