Hey, Pork Pie - What's up with the Studebaker patch on your jacket? More than a fan, perhaps?
Aircap,
I lived in Wabash Indiana - abaut 1 1/2 drive from Soutbend.
Between the Hall of Fame for College Football and the Studebaker Museum are only some yards to walk.
Liked both places.
A friend of mine bought about 10 years ago a Avanti with big 8 cyl. engine in - to get the interior restored he has only to go his attic - there was a complete, still original packed, interior in black leather - seat, floor, dashboard, door trims. He increased the front end opening to give the engine and the radiator more fresh air, that the problem with the big block - the overheating was eliminate.
I enjoy it all the time when I tour to LA/Malibu with my friend Stan and the Avanti.
But one of my favorite is the 1956 (?) coupe - forgot the right name - but this the version which is very often used at the salt for modified coupes.
Studebakers were great cars, sad that the company has shut down.
By the way, the most people ask me "what a funny Pepsi sign this is...."
Pepsi
