Where are the rest of the pages?
-
There's only one more page. It's a big yellow legal sized one that says "assemble motor once camshaft arrives". It's kind of an important one.
:-o
-
I talked with Dema last week - he mentioned your cam was going out. If you can make the time, post up some pics of the assembly on this old beast. You guys are pushing the limit on old castings - I'd like to know where that limit is.
-
The cam arrived yesterday. Assembly begins today. :-D
Pictures will be posted on our website (www.fastfourspecial.com) or FB page (www.facebook.com/pages/Montana-Dodge-Boys-Fast-Four-Special) throughout the weekend.
We think the new external stud rule will eliminate the issues we've had the past two years, but there is always a weak link when you're getting 220 RWHP out of an 84 year old banger.
The time consuming flow work paid off and the ports flow 47% more air than last year.
The chassis is ready with it's new slammed stance. 1.25" ground clearance! :-o
150 MPH?
See you on the salt!

Pedro --
Be careful loading it.

The new cam is here!!
-
This year's t-shirts are done!

We finally got the new cylinder head on the car about 10 AM yesterday. It took a few more hours to torque the THIRTY SIX head studs, and then anxiously fired her up. Other than slight a float bowl gltich, there were absolutely no issues, leaks, or concerns, and the twenty minute cam break-in went flawlessly.
We're headed to the dyno around 1 PM. Wish us luck!
Thanks to all of you who showed your support at our BBQ last night. The  when the motor fired were AWESOME!
See you on the SALT! :-D
