The weather paterns here are rolling out like last year & we all how that turned out on the salt.
This is looking like another El Nino year with no Snow & warm temps. 70 degrees warmer here than normal today & we have no snow pack below 9,000ft.

We're under a blizzard warning for tonight/overnight. But it's a strange one -- very little snow is in the forecast -- something like 4-9 inches.
I used to think a blizzard was defined by the weather bureau as a combination of lots of snow, high winds, and cold temps. We'll be getting those last two -- but 4-9" is no big deal (although 9" is close to a deal. . .).
I guess the weather folks have decided to make things sound worse than they really are.

Trying this again. This is a photo of Joanie & I in a terrible snow fall. My wine was almost chilled.

We're looking at a low of -11 with wind chills of -21 tonight, but we'll see a reprieve by Friday afternoon, with winds from the south taking us up to a balmy 21F.
Which means, of course, we're also expecting snow . . .
