It rained yesterday.  Check again in a day or two.

Some rain on it right now is actually desirable, it'll pull more salt to the surface & add to the crust when it dries. Too much rain is what we got last year & that's what allows Intrepid to surface flow to their evaporation ponds. So far spring has come late & it's still cool & wet so don't panic!

As of a few days ago it was only 43 & I understand a decision will be made on the 1st. I'm working to be ready to shake down my junk just because it gives you a big leg up for the rest of the season & if you got to run the TnT last year, that was the only meet! There should be a lot of hungry people this year & I expected a bigger response than what is indicated by entries.

Thanks for the info, Sid Like you, I thought they would have a ton of entries but as I said earlier, in this economy, 2-3 trips piles up a LOT of charges on the 'ol CC  :?  I was one of the ones who passed on the T&T last year ,waiting for a new set of Brodix heads, which were on eternal BO  :x - I guess we just wait and see- I'm one of the 43 count , we'll see what happens I guess !

In hindsight, I wonder if the date for the T&T didn't work for a lot of people-4th of July weekend is normally family time-maybe next year

Well LSR is a family event... Speedweek has been in August and September over the years... Seems they moved it back to August so the kids could attend.
I guess we will see how the salt is later on in the year

Yeah I get your point Stainless, but what I was thinking of was a holiday where extended family comes and hangs out for the weekend , and those more than likely,  wouldn't be part of our LSR family necessarily. Well, as you said, maybe a little more time to 'heal' and the salt will be better again. We can only hope
