I say take what we get and be THANKFUL !!
I agree.
On the other hand, if there were improvements that could be made, why not?
The information exists in the computer for most entrants before they even enter. After 10, 20 years of running the same class with the same driver can it be so hard? #335 is Jonny Hotnuts, just to name one. His number and information isn't likely to change anytime soon.
This is the computer age, and it just takes a little effort to make sure that what is entered is in a format that is easy to put on a web page.
500 entries? How about 1,200 Boy Scouts for a weekend Camporee with two doing data entry is all it took.
We gave out hundreds of awards on Saturday night two hours after the last event with little effort. A little planning in advance is all it takes. The results were on the web site the next morning. There are so many computer literate people these days that all you have to do is ask for volunteers.
You would be surprised at the geeks out there. Rick Yacoucci looks like a pig farmer from Iowa (Just kidding!) and showed up at El Mirage with laptop in hand working on the network. (Heck, he runs fast. He can take a little kidding.)
