Here's a few more 1969
1. I love this shot of all the people at the line, and the way we dressed back then. Notice the early days of "video" from the back of the pickup, getting ready to push off the roadster (I hope he wound up the mainspring on that movie camera).
2. One of the great Studebakers and a real fast Camaro that spun a couple times. We'd watch him head up the course, then a few minutes later we'd see a "mirror flashing in the sunlight" which was the reflection off the windshield as he went around in circles.
3. The timing tower and the "air ambulance" (so we were told).
4. In the motel parking lot...me on my Honda Benly 125 pitbike, getting ready to cruise town with some other fellows. We didn't find much exciting, as I recall.
