Who built those. Never have seen either one of them.
The speed that you wish to achieve is only limited by the depth of your wallet.

Built by George Barris,
Sidewinder trike and Snakepit. the car's got 6 Ford 351's in it.

Please pardon my skepticism about its (claimed/expected/fantasized-about) ability to go anywhere near 300 mph.  But thanks for sharing.

Yes those are Barris junk. His brother was the talented builder. George was a promoter and had a crew tossing stuff together for TV and movies - most of it looked pretty bad if you got closer than 10'. The car show stuff looked good on the outside but was pretty cobbled up under the skin.
As far as the Monkee Mobile that was built by Dean Jefferies from a GTO left over from I Dream of Jeanie. He was offered it when the show ended but said he could build another one cheaper if he wanted one. Barris bought it and tried promoting it as the "Barris Monkee Mobile". His argument when called out was I didn't say I built it but I do own it so it is the "Barris Monkee Mobile".
