Willie has been real busy lately with projects and on top of all that the local Harley shop asked him to help them remodel a restaurant that is in the same building as the Harley shop. During the day you can walk through the Harley shop into the restaurant, but in the evening there is a gate with a motorcycle embedded in it that closes so you can't go from the restaurant to the Harley Shop. Anyways, his main project was to build a wall of motorcycles and a gate to seperate the restaurant and the Harley shop. The restaurant used to be part of the showroom for the Harley Shop. He built a motorcycle that the restaurant is named after, The Knucklehead Cafe. The motorcycle is a 1939 Knucklehead. Willie built it for Jimmy Mitchell, the owners brother and Willie's friend. I'm not going to show pictures of the knucklehead because it is a whole story in itself and he wants to save that for later. Anyways, here are some of the pictures of the work that Willie did. Willie had some serious help in the project. His friend Mongo spent three weeks helping him. They also had some help from Buckskin Bill of Sonora and the guys at the harley shop.
If you are ever in Modesto you have to come by the Knucklehead Cafe and check out the work. Located at Mitchells Modesto Harley Davidson - 500 N. Carpenter Rd. - Modesto, Calif. 95351
Glad to be back on the website....
