cLASS CHANGE

I don't think so. But is it possible to set a record say in a gas class then switch to a fuel class at the same meet?  2 day meet?

John, ask Noonan... if it's legal he's probably already done it with a bike

You can set a different record each day at bonniville, just not 2 in one day. At El mirage you can only run one class, per meet weather it is 1 day or 2.

If my memory serves me correctly The "Two day" El Mirage meets are considered a single event.
Because El mirage is run on a points system you can only run one class per meet. Back in the Muroc
Reunion days they would let you run two different classes in one weekend, but No points system.
salt is OK, but the DIRT is where it's at!

Just in case this matters, you can run in two classes if you have 2 different vehicles :)

In theory you could bring a spare roller chassis (with a SCTA # and logbook) and use the same engine in 2 different entries.

You have to remember that a class change requires a re-inspection. So you have to set your new record, go through certification in impound then find another inspector (not always easy later in the week) get checked, signed off, pay the ladies at the trailer and get back in line. To wait a long time.  If you make a run and qualify then back to impound for next AM record try. Other than last year when with short week they allowed backing up a qualifying run the same day to speed things along, you have to wait to back it up. Possible but hoops to jump through.  :-D
