2 club banquet

I received an email from office manager Angie yesterday. The Nugget will require face masks for all attendees at the banquet on Wednesday evening. The masks are to be worn at all times except when eating. This is a Nevada rule not the club. I do not intend to police our guests but the Nugget indicates that they will have staff performing this duty.

Angie and I are looking for input from those who had planned on attending. At this time the banquet is still scheduled as planned.

Please forward your thoughts so that we may move forward.

How about having the gathering on the salt? or at least outdoors. I am not running Speedweek but had planned to drive out for the banquet, but not if I have to wear a mask.

Dan, I'll attend the banquet if there's a mask requirement or not, but if prudence dictates that we skip it again this year (that is, lotsa folks choose not to attend) - - I'll look forward to next year instead.   Do what's wise for the Club and for us.  Thanks.

In response from 2 Club board members and other interested members and racers we have decided to proceed with the banquet as planned.

The board thought recognition of our new members from 2019 and 2020 deserve the applause of their peers.

Remember to stuff a mask in your pocket and wear it while indoors except when eating. What you do for cocktail hour is up to you.
