Title: Don Barr
Post by: Richard Thomason on December 11, 2006, 10:13:04 PM
Has anyone heard from or know any information about Don Barr of Perfomance Measurement Systems. I'm afraid that I now have 5 obsolete with no support data recording systems.

Richard my dad(Russ Eyres ) and I have two pm52's and two more dos style pm51's that no longer work . Our PM52 worked untill nov El Mirage ,05 We were able to get hold of Don at707)223-1663, and sent the unit to him. Do to health some healthissues and his supplier going out of busness, there's not much he can repair on these units. Mine worked great untill it didn't work at all, we miss the run to run info greatly. Try and give Don a call, Ibelive he is the north bay/San Fransisco area.I would certainly like to find a equally priced replacment. Hope this helps.     Eric Eyres

Kent I'm glad to hear from the post after yours that Russ Eyres's data collector died and not Russ .

It is my understanding after the chat last night that these use 0-5 volt sensors.  If so you might want to look at Innovates Wide band sensor  (http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/index.html)  as besides the wide band O2 sensor it will data log up to 5 other 0-5 volt channels.  These can be wired direct to a plug on the LM-1 and it will record up to 44 minutes and then you download the data over a serial cable to your computer.  Their software is very flexible and easy to use that lets you scale and graph the data over time.

This would allow you to use your existing sensors.

If you order one try MotorSports Innovations (http://motorsportsinnovations.com/index.htm) and tell them I referred you and I think you will be happy!!

We are using it and I really like it.
