How did you get on the salt without the pin/pit pass that Lynda has at lands end? That Save the Salt/Speed Week 2011 thing was your pit pass.

Dan, I think he was talking about the orange window sticker so he could drive in the pits. He mentioned that he couldn't walk very far. Wayno

Selling stuff in the pits is strictly enforced - to be only souvenir stuff that directly relates to the team whose vehicle is in that pit.  We could, in other words, sell Seldom Seen Slim stuff -- but not landracing.com things.  I expect that I might get away with sell a Seldom Seen Slim article that just happens to have a landracing.com or a Salt Talks mention - but I tend to shy away from getting ANOTHER visit from Roy Creel about the stuff we've got displayed.  The vendors, in the vendor's area, must report gross sales and pay a percentage fee to the sanctioning body (SCTA or BNI, whichever) for the privilege of selling stuff at the event.  It's a bit of a bother for most teams, but for the folks that are there only to sell -- it's merely a part of doing business.

Back to the question of Salt Talks shirts:  You are still welcome to order/buy them via the internet.  We can mail them, but then we'll have to bill you for the postage, too -- but if you're going to Bville for WoS, the Shootout, or WF -- make sure you get your order to us before we leave home in two weeks (so we've got your shirt with us) and you'll get free delivery.  Ditto free delivery on any of the landracing.com or Kudos Laser Engraving stuff.

If you'd like personalised things - maybe a set of beer steins with your team name and logo - let me know before the 3rd of September and I'll try to have 'em with us when we get to the salt.

Just for those that may wonder -- Moon was an authorized vendor doing business out of their pit, not in the vendor area.  That's why they offered a variety of great things.

I think they would have sold more int he Vendor area. Lots of spectators with Hot rods never got that far into the pits.

Thanks Wayno,

It was a short walk to the best shirt on the salt. The new White Goose Bar shirt, as you well know.

Yep -- we'll have all of the 2011 Salt Talks shirts with us at WoS -- and I'm pretty sure that'll include your L shirt.  C U Then.

Is it asking too much to have one mailed since I won't be on the salt this year?

No, not at all.  $20 + postage  PM me your mailing address -- and the size you want, too.
