Hi Eric,
Just bring your gear to tech with your bike, no need for us to have you wear it unless we see you're a 110lb person and bringing X-large gear to be inspected, or your helmet doesn't appear to coincide with your noggin size and we require a roll off test. There will be a pre-inspection of gear (and paperwork) this year going ahead of the bike inspections, so you'll most likely have time to carry your gear back to your pits before your bike is inspected (making it easier, less congested and faster on both the techs and the entrants).
Have all your bodywork(and everything about your bike) bolted on and ready to run, if an inspector deems it neceessary to remove he'll ask you to do so. Their goal is to initially see your bike just as you plan on running it, so any deficiencies can be determined from that point. IE: If you bring it disassembled, we'll have to wait for it to be assembled completey before we can sign off on it anyway(it's not real often that we need components removed for the safety inspection). The coolant change(or the safety wiring of the radiator cap) are a not requirement this year, so feel free to seal it up.
FYI: Those with turbos(especially) will find us "reccomending" that a non-glycol coolant be used, and that the overflow bottle cap has a positive seal on it(neither of these are requirements, but have proven to be a good thing for everyone at the track, especially the rider).
Excellent questions and looking forward to meeting you Eric, you're in for a great time.
Todd
