Good question.  I just sent an email to the USFRA President asking if they wanted to think about updating the requirement - for 2023.  I'll report back when/if I hear anything.

According to the SCTA rule  book, Snell 2010 helmets expire(d) on January 1, 2022.

Yep but the USFRA club rules are not SCTA controlled.  With any luck Jeff will get some info updates...

Regarding helmets for the 130/150 Clubs, I just received a response from USFRA President, Dennis Sullivan, who advises:

"We will be keeping the 130/150 helmet requirement the same for this year. We will be looking at changing several things inthe 130/150 clube rules for next year.".

So, your 2005 and later helmets will be good in 2022.

That's correct - for at least one more year, anyway.

One more question. I made the 150 club in 2021. I was told at that time that I can still run the 150 club in 2022. Basically looking to close in on 159 and satisfy my salt fever. It would be to hard to fit in a class as it is a street driven car. See everyone in September.

I believe that's correct - but you'll obviously have to go through Tech again.  I know I ran in the 130 a few times after I was already in both the 130 and 150 Clubs.  But if you do and make it again, you won't be getting another hat, certificate, etc.

Broke my left arm bad. Had surgery in and out of hospital for 4 weeks. Need another surgery so no racing this year. Hopefully I'll be good for next year. Good luck to everyone and I'll be watching for comments and good speeds. All I can do now is dream about Bonneville.
