Okay, the audio has a slight buzz, not sure why. Interference from something and I'm so lazy it's just going to be that way for today so I don't try re-inventing the wheel out here on the salt.
The omni mic pointing to the course had wind noise and is now unplugged.
The lead computer would not accept the input from our audio system, so it's built-in mic was picking up car door hinge squeaks and clapping hands, casual conversations.
So, our second tier unit is in play. You'll notice it it goes offline over and over, requiring restarting the broadcast prodcing software.
This is NO way to run a railroad.
What you do hear, from time to time is the FM radio and Glen on the CB.
Midget and I have an idea for the proper computer, but I'm a long way from Salt Lake City, while the local pawn shop has prices higher than a dowager's hump.
The roar you hear is what's coming in via FM, I have no control over it.
Double dang.
The fix is to STOP using laptops, period. Okay, I've got a headset on listening to the Meridix broadcast on one laptop as a monitor to know when the serving laptop quits and needs re-setting. We'll keep doing that.
So, I'll keep applying bandages until our new server gets permanently installed in Jon's trailer.
