last sunday at el mirage after sheris 3rd pass i was towing her back to the pits with a tow strap --i stopped to talk to shane who was headed home --sheri pulled to the left of the truck and let slack get in the tow strap --when i took off the the bike and sheri was slamed to the ground --her leg was smashed between the air cleaner and the ground and i drug her a couple af feet --we run the tow strap around the neck of the bike then wrap it around the left grip so if anything bad happens she can let it go i think to brace herself she hung on really tight and plan A didnt work --by june i will build her a little trailer--sorry babe -- anyway here are some pics ---kids DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME willie buchta

deb its just a bruise nothing broken --the doctor said nothing to worry about --sheri had a ball said she cant wait to go back--she had never ridden a bike before by herself except our little pit bike --she ran within 1 mph of the record and finished 33rd out of 152 entries but then she has a great crew chief --thanks for everyones kind words willie buchta

Sheri, congrats on the fast run.
Willie, I agree she had a great crew chief and builder! However, remember who supports the crew chief!
Sheri, get well soon and I am looking forward to seeing you both in August.

Thanks to all of you for your concerns. I am doing fine. Other than a few twinges and the bruise being so ugly, it doesn't bother me. Now, Willie on the other hand, has to have my boot surgically removed from his ass.

Willie and Sheri,
I strap tow Black Sunshine and a mishap like yours is something I dread. Last meet last year my son-in-law dragged me through that torn up spot on the return road and I thought for sure I was going to end up ass over elbows. Just got lucky.
Get well soon Sheri!
