I will be at the track for the September meet. If anyone needs some help I will be available. I have 30+ years of blown fuel drag racing experience and can handle most any task, high or low pressure. Supercharged vehicles are my preference, but it's not necessary. JC Sparks

Welcome, JC. You'll enjoy it, for sure. I'll be running but my near stock Diesel truck doesn't need much of a pit crew. Pretty much just start it and drive it down the track. It IS turboed, though.

JC - Do you know anything about supercharging / fuel injection on Harley Davidson's?
-
I tuned on injected nitro drag bike Harley's. JC
-
JC, you will be more than welcome in our pits! We're pretty green on the injection, and the altitude is WAY lower than I'm used too!

Hey 38, I saw your deal on the salt last month. I know the guy from Ohio that was there helping you. We both raced on a alcohol funny car circuit in the early 80's. JC

Welcome JC! Guys, I would take him up on his offer, JC is one of the good ones!
Plus he brought us free beer for the BBQ at Bonneville :-D
-
The free beer usually guarantees me that I wont get thrown out of a pit! JC

Ron, let's catch up with each other for a beer!
-
A victory beer if we cross the line under power I can drink to that. Our plan is to arrive in town on Thursday we will set up our pit on Friday and then help with inspections for part of the day. I look forward to seeing the Flatcad in person all the work you have into the project is just amazing.

Were talking about Root Beer I have it in cans not to worry. When I want to really get crazy I drink Birch Beer. But IM having trouble finding the aluminum containers where the mountains change color when the proper chill has been reached!
So much to do and so little time the Lakester is sitting in the shop with no motor the grass is getting taller in the yard and I cant seem to find enough time guess I better get up early in the morning and hit this stuff before going to work. Its dark at 5-AM oh well.

Never fear, Ron- they make, and fill, those aluminum containers where the mountains change color, not far from where I live!

Ah yes the Nectar of the Gods. I remeber so long ago when Coors was not sold here in the East. We would wait for guys who went West to bring some back home to us. We also would meet up with guys heading East from the West going to the Nationals they would always bring a good supply at least for the event and some for our return trip home. Good times and good memory's.

JC, for your entertainment, here's a pic of your buddy, our crew chief, after we got our first record and had a little celebration.

Man-o-man, why wasn't I invited to that party? I like the outfit. For that matter, you could probably have talked Nancy into wearing such a skirt, too -- 'specially if you'd brought her a glass or four of wine. . .

Oh yes. You can always tell a drag racer from the others because we take everything to the next level. JC

Guess I spoke to soon earlier. The 600 was together and making noise on the dyno. Problem is there was a strange top end noise. Unusual camshaft wear sent the cam out for repair. It should be back Tuesday and hopefully the problem diagnosed and eliminated. With luck the bike is in my garage Friday night. Working 12-16 hour days at work for however many straight days makes it difficult to get ready, but all of the street legal components are ready to go on for the bike shootout. With some luck we will be in Ohio Thursday evening.
