Build Diaries / Re: Two Shakes the S10
« Last post by fissionspeed on Today at 04:13:30 PM »
Trudging along, life as always is getting in the way. As of now I've got the seat, main hoop, harness bar, and a-pillar bars in. Tricky job by yourself! Fortunately it appears the cage fits in the truck and I fit in the cage, so far.

Other updates: QA1 shocks are here so it's time fab those up. I'm just using a crossbar across the step notch with some CNC laser cut brackets. Once those are in and the cage is welded up I can roll this thing outside and put the bed back on which will be satisfying to see.

Picked up a ton of stuff from Holley's memorial day sale, window net, parachute, gloves helmet, arm restraints, etc. My poor budget

Chris, Just don't confuse SCTA points with SDRC points !, SDRC points are awarded in an totally different way.
the only two guys that know how to do SDRC points are 92 and 86 years old :-D

Years ago I was headed down I-40 around 80MPH, and the kids opened both back windows at the same time. The car immediately slowed down to 75.

I don't know if 5050 caused the 20 degree lean capability rule but that's why I went with a sidecar on 1227B.
Flat, low bottom.
Upon review of that rule it looks like it is streamliner specific. 1227B is not a streamliner. oh well. SC makes a little and low vehicle more stable (maybe) :)

I'd bet on it being the lowest aero drag machine ever on the salt. It led, if I remember, to a rule change for motorcycles having to be able to lean a certain angle. Am I right about that?
