New Video about loss of the salt.
« on: November 16, 2021, 08:13:02 PM »
Youtube video about the track. Stainless got a small cameo, at least the lakester did. Our "friend" Brenda had lots to blame. Except the mining. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0KydvN9jV8

Well I guess brenda can't figure out that loosing salt on one side of the road and gaining salt on the other through strip mining could be the problem...
Our run was either Wos or WF this year based  on the Mountain States Automation on the side of the car.
I know Sequoia will make a great scientist... She is already way smarter than brenda.

Thanks for sharing that Jack. It is frustrating because the video just stated that there is a problem but did not put forth any solutions. I noted that Brenda (who is making a career of "Studying" the salt flats) mentioned Stakeholders and she is working with them to get to a solution on how to stop the salt loss. Oh really? The video made sure to mention that the salt mine there put $1 Billion into Utah's economy by taking the salt. I am pretty sure that is why it is taking so long to come up with a solution.

Way back during the 'public meeting' when she said "salt was being lost due to Bla Bla Bla & evaporation" :?, I knew she had an agenda & it turned out to be that Intrepid was funding her study of the salt loss via a large donation to the U of U.

It is incredible how many people who have no idea of what they are talking about feel compelled to post comments on social media websites such as YouTube, Facebook, etc. The internet is populated with fools who feel compelled to share their ignorance publicly. When a comment is posted by someone with intelligence it is a rare occurrence and a welcome discovery.

That PBS video comment section seems to attract fools like a magnet!

The Smirking Scientist is making a career out of her "study" of the Bonneville salt loss, all the while being careful not to bite the hand that is feeding her.  :x

Rant over.
