Something that's not unusual to see at World Finals is rain - sometimes lots of it!  I just glanced through the 2020 rule book, and it appears that the last time any records were set at World Finals was back in 2012.   It seems to get rained out - or cancelled in advance - pretty frequently.

I still gotta go. I gotta be that guy that sets the next record at the World Finals. Not to mention..... my car is ready. I'm ready. It's got to happen.

I believe that SCTA-BNI is having a meeting this evening to discuss WF and whether there'll be one this year.  If you're considering going - get in touch with McDowell or Bill Lattin or even JoAnn and let them know so their eventual decision can be better informed.

Jon:

good point, just sent JoAnne an email. If I don't blow my stuff up on the dyno 9/2 then I will register and head out for World Finals with the 2100.

That musta been the year I drove my little Model A sedan up there.  No heater, never needed on at Bonneville before.  Followed a snow plow from the top of the mountain to the 93-93A Junction when he wanted me to pass him.  I was happy behind him.  Went thru Ely with the bank showing 26 degrees, bought a big cup of coffee, took the cut-off and in an hour or so had to find relief.  Pulled over at a chain-up site, stood outback trying to find my shrunken "relief valve" with my shaking hand, a truck pulled over with the bright lights on -- "Having any trouble, Stan" -- "No, just would like a little privacy and I'll be on my way."

We should be there too late the 27th... inspection on the 28th... ready to start racing on my oldest son's birthday...

We also enjoyed some success at the last World Finals.... Pork Pie was there celebrating his 199.977 I/GL record being broken.   :clap :clap
Take a jacket... and a sweatshirt...
