Bo, Yes and no on carbs. My S&S Super E is barely a calibrated fuel leak with an iffy air/idle screw and fixed intermediate and main jets (by fixed I mean factory drilled and not even consistent increments one to the next). On the dyno we found another 40 horses but had to swap jets between pulls making a mess and taking some time. An EFI set up is definitely in the near future. The MOTEC (and most EFI's) will hunt for and find the AFR number you spec from a laptop keyboard, no tools required. And as for intake clutter, at wide open, carb or EFI. the carb or throttle body bore should be almost unobstructed (see second picture for an example of a free flowing intake).
