Anyone camping at the bend?
« on: July 23, 2021, 10:24:13 AM »
This is going to be my first year visiting.  I'm bringing an old camper up Friday the 6th and will be staying through the 9th.  Looking forward to meeting some of the regulars here!

If anyone needs an extra hand in the pits I'm cheap (free) labor

We've camped at the bend the last few years. Good times. Pro tip, the Pilot truck stop in town has showers for a few bucks.

I think I've still got some of that mud on a pair of old shoes.  I was so happy I was in my 4x4 pickup - I got out of the goo.

Of course there was the time the wind was blowing so hard in the "camping" area that we were all getting the loose skin abraded and metal parts on the trailer were nicely burnished.

Park heading out for the cheapest tow.

The realist or the pessimist?  Mud never hurt anybody but a tow would hurt the pocketbook!

Hope to see you there Jim!  I really appreciate your advice early this year, still in the planning stages and will be taking many notes this week!

There was video this morning on the TV news of a guy kayaking down a Salt Lake City street. Did Bonneville get any rain?

I?d park before the bend and walk to the all night parties. Always looked ?harder? than at the bend.. if your around the bend a ways? it looked harder too if it rains.. good luck.

SLC got hammered with rain, I did hear from someone in wendover this morning that said the salt got some real light sprinkles but nothing that accumulated.
Records or parts, I didn't come all this way not to break something.
