I would like to see more pictures of the GSX1100 chopper which was in the background a few episodes back
What? Someone wants to talk Choppers?!?
Chop Zuki was the first bike I ever built. She was a barn-find rolling chassis I drug out of Elmira, NY. Old Santee frame with a P&P Girder that I spliced into the frame of the '79 GS1000E I had at the time. I built that bike from nothing, when I knew absolutely nothing about motorcycles or how they worked. I think that was my 3rd or 4th time shooting my own paint too. It's because of this bike that I can close my eyes and "see" the wiring diagram for a 70's Suzuki.
NYC:
At the top of the Philadelphia Art Museum steps (where Rocky stood)
I rode that bike all over the place. This is me going over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel on a trek from NJ to the Outer Banks, NC.
Then I moved from NJ to CO. All of a sudden, my bike - jetted for Sea Level - didn't run so good a Mile (or more) high. So, I did what *everyone* does right? Instead of fiddling with the carb jetting, I just found a complete GS1100E motor, with carbs (already jetted for altitude) & wiring harness for $400. The next weekend, she had no trouble climbing the "hills".
I rode her like that for another 30k miles, but then got the urge to build her different, so out with the girder and onto a 5-1/2-Foot-Long Springer. A "proper chopper" as I liked to call her; 10-foot long, 50? rake, left foot throttle, so with the King & Queen seat I could lean back and ride her no-handed for miles on end. I logged another 10k miles on her in this form.
In 2016, she gave up her heart so I could build a Production Bike to chase the AMA 1350-P-PC record. Then, in 2018, I used that engine for the 3000-A-CG GloWorm.
After 4 years of being torn down so I could pursue different LSR records, I picked up the FJ's to build The Juggernaut and now I'm building a whole new frame for my Chopper, using only square and rectangular tubing.
"Freakhouse Customs" is my imaginary bike shop that only exists in my head, because I'm my only customer. LOL!
