Nish had the Top Speed of the meet when I left Friday afternoon  but his feet were held to the fire by Fast Freddie Dannenfelzer in his B Fuel Lakester. He was afraid that he had missed the 5 mile marker so he clicked it off and slowed between the 4 and the 5. If he had driven it out the backdoor like he generally does, I think the 371 of Nish would have dropped to second place. Look at the increases in Freddies speed from the 2 to the 3 and then the 3 to 4 speed. He only needed 6 MPH to have had Top Speed of the meet-   when I left.
That car has a sound that shakes the salt.

As long as we're looking at FF Dannenfelzer's timing slip, what's the data in the lower left -- the "SP: 5.537"?  I learned the answer once -- forgot it a while ago.  Someone help me, and us, please

Speaking of Tonya Turk, she was going through the 2Club photos on Friday morning trying to find the fastest woman driver in a doorslammer.  With her back up speed she should have qualified for that honor.

Just a note of thanks to whomever it is that has taken the time to keep the SCTA-BNI website updated with the runs this week.  Those of us not there are grateful.

Congrats to Shane on the 1350 P/P record!
He was the first that I presented a hat to (with Larry Volk and Jason McVicar).

Leslie Porterfield ran a 208 on my 205 1350 M/BF NAKED record.  She is in inpound and looking to boot me out of the book in the morning.

We just ran 206.64!  Back in impound :)  we still need to back it up again tomorrow :)

So after a back up run this morning we up'd our record for the P-P 1350cc to a final 205.193!!!

Hey Oceanside, the baby will be old enough for any of the remaining meets of 2008.

You could have some marvelous fotos for her baby book starting with the BUB Meet
but even World Finals would be acceptable.

Missed you.

Yep this got his some Rob into the 200 mph club. Should be a 208 mph average. They started the week on their own 199.998 record and bumped it to 202.xxx and then bumped it by a couple more tenths again, then low and behold he pulled out a 208 run yesterday and backed up this morning at 208 and change... Good job Stainless and good job Rob for twisten that throttle a little bit more.

I believe the SP is Station Pressure and I once knew how to relate it to barometric pressure, but forgot ,

Jon,

I cannot believe that Robert had to run at about the same speed on his aspirated GSXR-1000 to gain entry in to the 2-Club as Leslie ran on a Turbo-Charged Hayabusa.. :-o

I am proud of both of them and wish them both safer and higher records should they choose.. :-)

I wish I was able to take part to the 2-Club minimums....200+ aspirated on a 4-stroke rocks!

J

PS, what was the speed Jason McVicar and Joe Amo when they got in?
J

PSS. Jason get well!!

Station Pressure is the local absolute barometer, at Bonneville 25.xxx in hg would make sense so perhaps they assume the first digit 2 is dropped as being obvious?
