Nancy qualified with about .6 on her old record - will turn it down and get back in line.  Her speed was 202.7 (but don't have the slip yet.

 Outstanding!! Bump that margin up like we know you can!!! A little in the bank is a good thing when you're playin in close!
Nancy, you should know by now you can do it! You keep provin it! Get on it & get small & it'll be there!

Okay, we're back in line.  The Costella and (someone whose name I didn't catch) 6060 lakester with the 500 cc two-stroke motor is running now.  Quarter mile 114 - one mile speed of 155 -- running on a 157 record.  Glen's mentioning that he's taking the entire tour of the course -- at 115 mph.  Glen doesn't sound too happy. . .

The line is about three hours long, I'll guess -- we're farther back than yesterday - when it took two and a third hours.

The 757 Rogers Realty (used to be Fox-Doll-Christopherson Camaro) car that ran in the 250s at the Shootout -- just ran on a 220 record.  Steve Strupp, the driver, told us last night that he was aiming for a 240 run.  he went 239.808.  Decent forecast, Steve.

The Saltosaurus went 268.789 on a 280 record just now.

Leaving the line is 46  186.125 in the quarter,  190.674,   199.116 in the last mile.

Unh, you're welcome -- but it wasn't me that did the SCTA link/post.  To the person who did it (I don't remember) I thank you and invite you to do it again today.  We stop at Dan Warner's place at the door to imound and get the daily list of qualifiers and post that information, but the link to all runs -- that's great.

We're moving up right now -- but still about two hours from a run, I figger.  Lots of folks here enjoying the day and the cool temps and good air.  Unh, when Nancy made her run it was 11.22 AM, wind was 1mph from the west, temp was 46.7F, humidity 33%, station pressure 25.7 inches, and DA -- ready for this, SpeedWeek racers?) -- DA was 4378'.  Nice, hey?

The little Old Volk's Home Kahrmann Ghia just left the line.  It's car 57 -- 162.900 iun the 1/4, mile 165.714.  A VW Kahrmann?  Cool speed.  Don't know what the record was, though.  Sorry.

196.288 in the mile for bike  194 middle mile, 190.295 last mile.  Wrong way to do it -- supposed to go faster in each succeeding mile, right?  No number was given -- can't see from our vantage point.

A few photos from the staging lanes.

The 55 Chevy 2-dr B/CGC.  Its photo is on the back of the press pass.   Pretty kool.

Nebulous Theorum VI also known as...

The Poison Arrow.

And the Mormon Missile has their driveshaft back and is in the lanes.

The Joint Venture just left the Salt.  I hear they fired the engine at the line -- watched the oil pressure slowly drop, shut off the motor and shut it down without leaving the line.  Sorry to see them go -- it's a hoot to see run.

Still makiung runs -- not a lot of excitement going on, but I'll report when I hear something.
