Hi guys n gals.
I'm looking at taking a quick trip to the LA region in Septmeber, in particular for the Septmeber 13th El Mirage meet, landing in LAX on Saturday morning.
May I seek some advice from you guys as what to expect, the best way to get there, etc etc.
If anyone is looking for a crew member/general work hand - hell I'd be in that. :-D
Cheers
Mark

Hey Mark,
You are more than welcome to stop by the Buchta camp for dinner on Saturday night(Or anytime you'd like). Just look for the white mailboxes and the bikes. There may even be a movie or two.

Anything that's yellow, bubbly, and hasn't already made one pass through the horse is good enough for those guys. I know them. . .

John Noonan,
If I show up, will you or somebody have an Air Condition Motor home that this old man can get in out of the heat once in awhile...I don't think this old guy can take that heat any more at a long stretch...

Bonneville's got the mystique, but Elmo is less hassle, less hype, less expense, and for an outside visitor or a spectator, much more inviting.
Additionally, the support vehicles and spectator's cars are often as cool as the race vehicles.
You're going to love it.
-
Again, thanks guys for your words of welcome, and shall I say, ...... drinking ;)
VB has put the hairs on the chest of many a young drinker, Coopers keeps them there.
My girls have their birthdays either side of B'ville, so there is no chance of me going there.
-
So you guys have beer over there
I'm booking the ticket

Mark as a hotrodder your going to be blown away by the history and names you will see in some of the vehicles there ,
Good folk all that we met last Sept, great help from John , Michelle and officals for a couple of rookies arriving late.

About BEER...
As I got older I was warned by my Doctor I should give up Alcohol, especially beer...I told him that is my favorite beverage...
His answer was that beer was made the same way your body makes urine...That does sound pretty bad, so I cut back to two six packs a day...I did feel a lot better and I made a lot less beer...
-
You guys made me thirsty, had to get a beer to continue
JL222

Kent...your so discerning.........yes...depending on the desired application
various electrolytes are imperative.......its all a very specific hydrocarbon
chain depending on application.......Glen is right as well.........we are
a very "green" company.......trying oh so diligently to keep the
carbon footprint small........thats why our product is 100% organic...........
keeps the epa...gore..etal at bay............

Hey Mark, Nathan Stewart (Beef Stew) from the HAMB. I don't know if we'll have our car together by the September meet or not but stop by none the less and say hello. My dad would be happy to share more old stories about running with Tom Finn and Phil Cole. And I'll still be crying about those '32 rails! So stop by and we'll share a cold one!
See ya in a couple months!
