Some days when I look at the photo it just takes your breath away.  Today is one of those.

The view from the camera has been looking promising. Fingers crossed that it stays dry this year.

Driving off into the sunset?

Must be a "sepia" (sp?) print.  The "floor" should be brilliant white.

See print to the left.

When I looked yestereday it looked like lots of vehicles running around on the salt.  Lots after dark as well.  I did see the sunset watchers.... but the salt was white during the morning of the video.  Of course it is different every day

Can't imagine trying to find my way around in the dark out on the salt.

Running wide open on the salt at night with no lights on is a "Thing" the idiots do. A few years ago two died when they hit the dyke in a Mustang or some other death machine at high speed. During the day parents let their young kids loose in their cars while they video them doing stupid $hit. People camp out overnight, have camp fires & crap right on the salt. A few years ago when I was checking the salt depth I ran across some campers out there & made them pick up their crap. I was an angry Kiwi with a broken F-bomb filter like they'd never seen before!

Seems they have changed the link
new address here: https://horel.chpc.utah.edu/data/station_cameras/bflat_cam/bflat_cam_current.jpg

Thanks, it looks like they moved all the camera data to a new server:
https://horel.chpc.utah.edu/data/station_cameras/bflat_cam/

I'm guessing the official entry point is still this one:
