Well back from Vacation, had a great time with just me and the wife on the cruise.. now back home to focus on my real job and all my spare time on the Stude.
While I was driving to Miami, I made some calls and a friend of mine had a new in the box Lakewood "SFI" Steel Bellhousing for a SBC (Chevy II) .. He took it over to Larry's shop for me and while I was gone , Larry made all the motor mounts, new trans crossmember and modified the mid mounts. I decided not to take a chance on the Quartermaster bellhousing,, I took all the pictures and documented all, but a little voice told me to Mic the bellhousing,,, It was a full 1/4" where it bolts to block and tranny,, but where the clutch fork opening is it was only .188.. this could/would have caused a tech problem ,, so we changed it now..
Thanks to this board and all the fellow racer, builders and fans of LSR... this error was caught now and not at 100 degrees on the salt with no spare bellhousing....
Thanks again to all... I am glad to share my builds and I am glad to get help. comments and suggestions...
See ya later..
