I'm gonna die of tired if I don't get some sleep tonight, but I'll make it through another few minutes to give you this story.

There are 5 cars in impound tonight (and 4-5 bikes, too).  All five of the cars qualified over 200 - 4 over 200, the #66 B/FR over 300.  Assuming they all back up their respective records and get certified, one driver will get a blue hat and 3 will get red hats.  The remaining car is in impound at 201 or so - but there's a 210 minimum for a hat in that class, so that driver will have to have a return run about 220 or so to get a two-way average above that minimum.  Maybe, maybe not - but it could happen in the nice cool air of morning.

And that'd make for a 5 for 5 hat day.

Return runs start with the parade to the line (we're down to course 1 only now) at 7.30.  Tune in to hear the fun.

Here's a good hint, by the way:  We'll announce when the fuel roadster is going to run, and you should record the audio as he roars past the microphone and then use it for a ring tone on your phone.  Wouldn't that make for a great way to announce an incoming call?

This guy was showing off his car at Bonneville today, like maybe he was trying to sell it or something.  I was kind of interested - until I learned that he and a buddy had blown up 3 engines in it this week alone!  No way am I gonna get saddled with someone else's castoffs.  Nice try, mister, but I wasn't born yesterday!!

Lol ....

Some people.

Check for sawdust in the crankcase and rear end.     ;)

Sure sorry we didn't make it out this year.  Sounds like it (the salt) would have been a great year to run F/BGC...  Hopefully next year.

Well that's my old boss of 8 years. I might have to step up to the plate and see if i can make a deal with him on that car. I would just have to build a longer garage. Sorry George didn't make 500, but hey that's a big number and an even bigger reach. Wish him well in the future. Mark.

THANKS to the two of you for the last few days work. It is great to hear not only the car number and time but some history of the vehicles and records. That only comes with being part of the system with dedication. It's not not being there but makes it enjoyable.
