As I recall it was. I was busy walking on a cloud after running 189.593 in my Tank.

Woody, oddly enough, the changes I have made since 169 mph are aerodynamic.

Forget the wide grin - that's more frontal area!

Now that the full results are posted, I see that Vesco's Little Giant ran against its own new E3 record and bumped it clear up to 353+MPH.  That exceeds Buckeye Bullet's FIA record, so Team Vesco can add the laurels for fastest electric car to their many other records.  Congratulations!

Well Woody I don't think that wide grin will disappear for a long while... Wayno is now in view of the record... from now on HP may be his best friend... we all know...
Lakester aero is all smoke and mirrors....

Nice write up on the 444 electric Little Giant. More details on the program changes from SW to WF etc.

I'm sure this is a dopey question but what is the difference between the "130 Club" and the "1st Mile" on a timing slip? Where are they measured?

Well, first of all, you'd only see "130 Club" on a timing slip from World of Speed rather than World Finals.   The "130 Club" speed trap is a 132-foot long trap at the end of mile one (from 0 to 1, that is) on the USFRA's short course.
"First Mile", on the other hand is the first full mile-long speed trap.  On the USFRA's (or SCTA_BNI's) short course, that would be from Mile 1 to Mile 2, as there's no timing light at Mile 0.  After that comes the "Quarter", which is from Mile 2 to 2-1/4.  Then comes the "Second Mile", which is from Mile 2 to Mile 3.
On the (five mile) long course, you have the quarter (2 to 2-1/4), then the "First Mile" (from 2 to 3), followed by the "Second Mile" (from 3 to 4), the "Last Mile" (4 to 5), and then "Exit Speed", which is the last 132 feet of the "Last Mile".  There's no light at Mile 1 on the long course, but a "combo" course would have a light there.

The long course at all SCTA  events have lights from the 1 to the 5. All speeds in each mile are on the timing slips.

Thanks, everyone. I was primarily asking about the "130 Club" and the "First Mile" since I could not find anything about them on the USFRA or SCTA websites.

About half way down the USFRA site's home page you'll find a section for the 130 and 150 Clubs (and other stuff, too).

That's true Jon, but nothing about the location of those two timing lights.
