Not necessarily a list, but section 1.U in the rulebook (page 17-18 in 2022 book) gives an explanation of what qualifies as gas vs fuel.

I?m just wanting to know what fuels they bring and seal the tank with.
Are there options?
What is the gas?

The fuel vendor is VP, and they bring a selection of fuels.  I'll see if I can dig up the info sheet Ron Main sends out about the fuel.

BNI wants racers to buy gas from the vendor to make it worthwhile for him. But BNI checks your gas if you set a record so if you add stuff that doesn't pass your disqualified. Yeah, bring your own gas BNI would have to seal the tanks to prevent cheating. Run nitro, drain tank, add gas go to inpound :-P  But what if you need more and no vendor.
It's nice to have VP there but on the other hand after shelling out 400 bucks for 15 gal of VP16 and having
EL Mirage cancelled it would be a big savings to use it at Bville.

SCTA limits the "Gas" it sells within its set parameters.  Some is different than the other.  That helps keeping the "Gas" classes on an even keel.  Fuel means "who cares".  If you want to run Vermont Maple Syrup -- fine.  But, if you buy more "Gas" for a meet and end up not using it -- well, how can they ascertain what you're selling back.  The fuel truck stays until the end of the meet.  Yes, it's a pain in the ass to have to go every day -- but so does your competition.

If you blow it up (not unheard of), you can use the leftovers to tune with.

The octane rating isn't a consideration when it comes to the "legality" of the gasoline. The dielectric constant and oxygenation levels are.

That's really kinda sad.
A guy spends a bunch of time tuning with a certain gas just to show up and find that it might not be on the approved list.

I really don't see a need for such confusion. these sort of things can be delt with ahead of time.
Just like there is no need to have racers wait until right before speedweek to get the latest copy of the rule book.

From my vantage point here on the sidelines,
I'd think that if the rulemakers could have the 2024 rule books available at this years speedweek, they would sell a lot of them
and it would give the racers the greatest amount of time to build their machines.
 a win - win.

Kinda sad guy didn't check gas available.

I don't want to partake in an internet argument, no complaints, just stating my views.

"No time to alter the rules..."
Says who?
Can't the rulemakers change the rules to anything they want?
whenever they want?

"Kinda sad the guy didn't check the gas available"
Wasn't that what the OP was trying to do?
According to MRK, they don't know yet what gas is going to be available.
why not?
