Thank you.

Why isn't that the Primary link on the SCTA site ? ..... Unless I missed it.
Their link takes me to the "live stream" video at the starting line.

Thanks again.

I don't know why it isn't there.  I gave the info to Heather Black so she could post it.

George pulled the chute at about the 3 1/2.  No reason yet reported.

That takes me to the video stream at the starting line not the radio broadcast.  ..

Yes, and it will take you to the Saturday and Sunday runs.

Tim I believe his name is who was doing the video, said he was only at Bonneville for the two days and that today he would be traveling home. So as far as I know there is no live streaming for the rest of speedweek 2021.

Go to the home page of landracing.com In the center of the page click on
Meridix.com

That takes you to Slim and the audio.

Here's a copy of an announcement just now from SCTA:

August 9, 2021
Bonneville Salt Flats
Wendover, Utah

At approximately 2:45 p.m. Mountain Time today, driver Jim Kirk 74, lost control of his land speed vehicle at 180mph. Jim was treated by medical professionals at the scene and transported by ambulance to Life Flight and flown to University Hospital in Salt Lake City.
The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
Pat McDowell
SCTA President
Bill Lattin
BNI Chairman

My stuff resumes:

Racing on courses 2 & 3 has resumed.  Course 1 is closed for the day so the course can be moved one over (three parallel courses are prepared in advance so moving is easy).  That's 9 miles of signs, markers, and timing lights to be moved.  Fresh salt tomorrow for course 1.

I heard Bill Lattin announcing that the underground river that crosses the race area has affected the race course, too.  There's dang near nothing that can be done about it.  He'll notify the racers - but spectators and crews and such need to consider taking care when driving off the salt later today and that's why I'm telling youse guys.

And a bike just went down on course 2.  That's why we're on hold again.  Bike 286 - no details on what happened or even the speed.  It's Kristen Stewart's little bike (125 cc) and she had texted me a while ago saying that Scott Groff would be riding it this run.

Course 1 is closed 'til morning to move it, course 2 is down for the incident, course 3 is open but no customers.  Stay tuned for more.
