Course Layout
« on: August 30, 2012, 11:51:01 PM »
I am working on a GPS project and would like to know when the course's are laid out on the salt and lakes if they are surveyed and is there a surveyed start and finish to them?  Also is it the same when the course is moved?   Tony

This must be your day Tony. I typed out a smart A reply but thought better of it before posting.

For God's sake Dan, Several of us (including yours truely) have seemingly gone nuts in the last week (Blue Moon?) and we all look to you to "right the ship", so Pullleeeeze don't join the rest of us malcontents in making rash or bold statements.
I have pissed off enough people in the last week that I am starting to think about propeller's as a propullsion add on.
  Are they legal in CFALT?

If the course is sideshifted but still parallel it's generally pretty easy to offset your line Tony.

Interested to watch the progress on this.

Sid, perhaps we should partner up.
It could work out well, I can't understand your accent, and am going deaf.
And my arthritis in my hands is so bad I can no longer "flip you off"!
I do, however (according to my crew chief) still possess the "evil eye of death" which I only use when any or all overide my decisions and command's...................
I tell you, it's lonely at the top (of the dung pile at least)............  and thank's again for whatever that award was that you bestowed uponst me last week......... (I think)..........
                                                                Bob (as in one run)

Jon, From what I understand  the course is usually shifted 40' from the outside markers.  Then if the 1st mile is all torn up the course is moved forward by 1 mile.  If this is wrong someone correct me.  Tony
