Being a former r/c kid back in the day, always wondered if anyone did this. Stumbled upon this guy.

As a youngster I developed a habit of mounting Estes model rocket engines in plastic scale cars. Thankfully my limited funds did not support installing R/C equipment.

thats funny , my brother and I did the same with the Estes rocket motors , we also lit the plastic car on fire . trouble is we weren't youngsters , we used our kids toy cars . was pretty cool doing it at night down the street.

I used to race at the old magna raceway with my Team Associated B3. Always wanted to throw in my modified motor and gear it up for top speed . Follow it in my car (someone else driving) and me in the passenger seat at the controls. Just to see it's top speed.
I'd have to slow down the steering a bunch, maybe steer using the trim controls. 😉

Oddly enough....My goal was to make the rocket car work and be re-used. Lots of trial and error.
