Congrats Scott! Welcome to the dark side!
You got a lot of good advice over on the SH.ORG. Take your time looking over that bike before trying to fire it up and go for a ride! I know you said you had a long term timeline so it looks like you picked up a good starting point! Look it over good & you'll do well with it. Noonan is the used parts king so I'm sure he'll hook you up with good parts & advice!
Oh yeah, there's a guy, Busaman66, on the SH.org that gets all kinds of parts so if Noonan can't help you hit him up. His prices are good, his descriptions are too modest if anything and his packaging & fast shipping couldn't be better!
There's a reason this V-Twin shop owner races a busa and I think you understand! Todd's still running his ironhead for another reason & another goal. My busa may well never see a turbo or be in the fastest of the fast, but just to have a relatively low maintenance, street legal, 200 mph bike in the stable to make a pass on any time we want, heck, how can you go wrong?
Good luck with the project! I'll help out any way I can but I'm just a newbie to the over 200 mph world so I'm not sure how much helpful stuff I actually know!
