Let's use this as the main one once we get running so it'll be easiest to keep up with everything.  I'll use it for my posts/commentary/etc.

Be safe, have fun, go fast!

Here's a mid-=afternoon update:  It's still pretty smoky - about 2 miles visibility at best.  The smoke isn't as thick (the sun  is a bit brighter) but it'd still be way to smoky to run.  Good thing we're not trying to do so today.  It's still; breezy, too, although not bad enough to hold things.

The smoke has made the lighting pretty poor, and that's why I haven't been taking many photos.  The colors aren't very bright.  The usual suspects are here even if I don't show pics.  Wolf-Strasburg lakester, Bockscar, Speed Demon, Ferguson Ardun 'liner, the Carter Family Flyer 'Vette, Mike Kilger's 505  roadster, Randy Speranza with the 930 SC-S that he rode to a red hat last autumn, the beautiful gold 880 Stude with a matching push car, 420 Got Salt with their primo-sounding Arias alky-motored lakester, the Jesel pickup truck, #608 lakester and 1986 E/STR, the #1942 Comp Coupe, John Levie and the 300++ mph SC-S that he and his dad and Scott Guthrie have created, the Langlo #222 Camaro, Wayno's flathead drop tank lakester, the Speed Demon and the Original Speed Demon (display only) and the Blowfish, Fast Freddie's fuel lakester with Fogie driving, the #66 Fuel Roadster, Jim Hoogerhyde's twin-Tesla powered Nebulous Theorem, the Burkdoll Family is here to run the beautiful new #31 C/FS that Jim has built and Bo has his Monza (#3111) here so he can learn nitro which he says he's never run before, and better still - Bo is here is his new personal ride.  It's George Field's old 6-door GMC pickup.  It's hard to miss.  George is registered to be running the Trackmaster car in AA/BFL.  He does know nitro.

And on and on.  Now you know that I really am out here.  I gotta get the frickin' audio streaming to work now.  Later.

It's almost 6PM Friday and I finally got the stream up and running.  I'll let it go for a little while if you wanna listen, then shut down and head back into town.

Geez, it was easy - once I had suffered for a few hours trying to set it up the wrong way.  Whew.

We still don't have working microphones, it seems, but someone is (supposedly on the way to fix that.  We'll be on with music and stuff in the morning and then the drivers meeting followed by the drive down the course and then we'll start qualifying runs.  I just met Tim, the dude that's doing the streaming video, and he'll do the pictures and use our audio.  I don't have that link yet - will pass it on later.

Looking at the view of the current photo of fires in the western United States let alone the entire world makes me think of how electric cars are going to stop pollution. I did not realize how much this would affect Speed Week.

Jon,
The audio keeps breaking up, with long periods of buffering
