200 over 200!
« on: April 03, 2007, 07:14:44 PM »
Somebody on this board is being very humble about a very amazing accomplishment.  :-D
Being the big mouth that I am I'm officially bringing it to every ones attention and outing him!
(Hopefully I won't live to regret this move!)

Congratulations to our very own Scott Guthrie for achieving 200 official time slips over 200 mph!

He worked VERY hard this past weekend at Maxton and got it done!

Here's to you Scott, we're proud we can call you our friend!

Scott has been working hard for a very long time and is a real student of the art.
I have seen some people even refuse his council because they thought they were above it.
Others that operate at a level approaching his or want to, see him as a real friend. 8-)

Apparently you only need 10 more records above 200 to satisfy
your goal.
Sounds easy..........break out the Harley.

Wow Scott that is amazing!!!  90 records in 200 runs is a great average also and here I was just hoping for maybe one record over 200 someday.  Sounds pretty hollow next to what you have accomplished.

Keep it up, sounds like you have lots more in ya,

Sum

Good point John, as I'm sure(more then just partly due to Ellen) Scott has apparently enjoyed a very special relationship that has not only lasted longer, but has also been even more successful then their racing careers combined.

Congrats Scott: You are the epitome of the "Thinking Man's Racer". You are the master of creating a vehicle to fit a category. You are ahead of most before you even reach the track. This pic represents you at your best. This is the first N/A bike (or is it a 250, they all look the same?) to set a record over 200 way back in 1990. Racing in the 750 class with I think only 700cc. Easy record to break, just use a two million dollar MotoGP bike. Lol. Long may you remain in LSR. I am proud to call you a friend.   Larry

Congratulations, sir!

Easy record to break, just use a two million dollar MotoGP bike.
Speaking of which . . . with the end of the 990cc formula, someone should lend Scott one of these obsolete bikes so he could push his 1000cc APS/G record over 200.

Congrats Scott, 200 over 200 is quite a record in itself. Going for 100 records over 200 certainly sounds like something you can do!!

There are "wanta be's" like me and there are DOER's like Scott!!!!

Fantastic!

Congratulations, Scott!  I didn't catch that either.  Thanks Deb for bringing it to our attention.

Lets not forget the 22 records in ONE WEEKEND over 200 mph at Maxton, either!

The term "living legend" comes to mind.

Your generous assistance has enabled me to join the 200 Club at Maxton and also helped me get the high speed at the last meet there.  I couldn't have done it without you.

You are an ambassador for our sport, both knowledgeable and articulate, and I wish you continued success in all your endeavors.
