The common comment regarding LSR events by a newcomer is,  “I was surprised how friendly they were.”

That’s the basis upon which the B’ville NW Reunion was started. The time of the year was chosen to be well removed from the thrash time of summer. With this in mind, now is the time....

......to send in your registration. After seven years people all over the nation are showing an interest. Obviously the western part of this nation provides the majority of the guests but with guests from Michigan, Colorado, Idaho, Utah, Southern California, Oregon, Washington and Arizona attending, there is a great cross section of racers. Take this opportunity to join in for a fine meal and unlimited bench racing.

This years speaker is Bret Kepner from ESPN TV. Kepner’s area of expertise is the national drag racing scene but his love and special interest is Bonneville. He loves it so much that he won’t spoil his vacation time with an assignment to cover the event. It’s his time to relax and relax he does. I have been able to grab him from his banquet MC duties, to give us his overview of all things Bonneville.

Several suggestions for tours and sight seeing this year are:

The Evergreen Air Museum (http://sprucegoose.org) in McMinnville, OR has their I-Max theater open and the second major portion involved with the history of our missile program is also open.

Kidd’s Toy Museum, 1301 SE Grand, Portland, OR 503-233-7807  It’s a no charge museum with toys from the late 1800s into the 1940’s. Julie Kidd told me they generally are not open on Saturday but will be there fro 11 AM until late afternoon February 21.  We are never too old to look at toys that we grew up with.

The telephone contact with Shilo Inn, Portland Airport location, is 503-252-7500. A special rate is available for people that attend the banquet.

Until Feb 8, the registration cost is $48 per person. Send a check or money order to:
