Maxton Photos, June Race

Hi, folks.

I'm the guy who was wandering around Maxton, a couple of weeks ago, with a couple of vintage cameras dangling around my neck.  I've finally gotten around to processing and scanning the film, and I like what I got.  Hope you all do, too.  It's a different look.

I've put some of the photos up on my website.  Here's the link:

If I got anything wrong -- names, classes, speeds, etc.  -- please let me know by leaving a comment on my website or by sending me an email.  I'll fix it.

--John

PS  Shooting film, I couldn't capture every car and bike.  My apologies for that.

Great perspective, both photos and commentary.

Now I am really disappointed I missed the meet.

Looks like we will be back for the last meet in October...

Hi John,
Ben Herr and I have great memories of time spent with you in the Comfort Inn parking lot last year. (We were the guys with the black Mercedes from Michigan). Anyway - Loring is next week, you've got to get your budget together and show up. I understand that there are opportunities to take Moose shots - also, some great people.

Our Best regards,

John,
thanks for the professional coverage and the wonderful captions!

I spent my career with view cameras and believe one must get his fingers wet to be a real photographer - it great to see the craft hasn't died quite yet.

all the best,

Not on Kodachrome, I'm guessing.

Thanks for the shootin'.  I had to miss this one and I'm happy for anything that catches me up a little.
