Your exhaust tunes sure hurt one's ears at the lights...how many rpm's??? I had to wait for you to turn out in short shut down to announce your speed...if not, all the people would hear was your music!

All the small bore bikes are fun to watch and the speeds from those small engines is impressive.

I think there should be a new 200 club just for the little bikes.  Not 200 mph . . rather 200 decibels (dB).

One Ninja 250 with twin megaphones was down right painful in short shutdown, even at a low rpm, especially with the echo chamber we now have with the 'walls' through short down.  If I am fortunate to make another meet this year I am bringing ear plugs, headphones, two rolls of r-20 insulation and duct tape for my ears . . . . :-D

We are thinking about a 200K club for 250cc four stroke and 125 cc two strokes

Anyone remember the orange Harley 2-stroke a few years back?
Not only was the exhaust painfully loud, he had a centrifugal S/C
hanging off the side, whining along... Painful to hear, AWESOME
to watch!  :-D :-D

Helmet Cam on Jarl's 250

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez86iGrUprg

Thanks to Doug Wotring for contributing the helmet cam.  On this video you can hear the engine note change when I briefly hit the nitrous button in 4th gear (at :32 sec) and again when I hit and hold the NOS button in 5th gear (at :38sec).  Then just before the finish line I released the button because the power felt like it slightly dropped so my 125mph then became 119mph for the timing slip.  But that was still 10 mph over the 109mph old record.
Thanks to the ECTA Staff and especially the volunteers for letting us have this much fun on two wheels!!

Great videos guys.  Glad you all had a safe and fast weekend.  Hope to see you all in October if not earlier.  The bodywork is slowly getting adapted for the duc.  I will be spectating at speedweek if any of you are heading out.

June lived up to being Hot and Humid, but gave us a window that conditions came around.  Congrats to James Hight for being over 200 naked on the turbo GSXR 750.  Even if he did knock a hole in the oil pan on the way up the return road.  Dean with a 245 on the turbo ZX-10 and Bill with all the 200 mph wheelies to keep our attention.  It was a small crowd, but a great time.  The vounteers worked hard in the sun for us so a big thanks to you all.  Our ZX-6 had a good weekend with a 203.2 pass, 2nd fastest in the World for the N/A 650cc on the mile.  We tried for our 184.1 record, but just couldn't get there.  Looking forward to seeing everyone in Loring, or back in Maxton in September.

Greg and Dean, Thanks for for the kudos and congrats on your great runs too.

It was a fun weekend and despite the heat the little 750 ran great.  The new intercooler worked well and keep the intake temps cool despite it being 95+ degrees outsite.  Now I just need to figure out how to plumb it into my leathers.

Huge congrats James, the number of people who have been over 200 on a 750 could be counted on one hand, you included. Also, welcome to the board  -Dean

Thanks,

It has been a blast trying to push these little motors and despite sacrificing a few parts to the gods of speed, it has been a fun learning curve.  Now that the 750 is where we want it, it is time to focus on the 600.  Hopefully we can push those speeds we before we loose our hometown track here at Maxton .
