Fairing mounts
« on: May 28, 2011, 08:14:16 AM »
Mounting up the fairing and working like crazy so I can test at Maxton next month. The question that I have. I am making up stays that use U bolts from the frame and reach out to the body with Dzus fasteners going through the body, question is. Do I have to safety wire the nuts on the U bolts? I was planning on using a standard nut and then running a ny-lock nut down on top of that.

I think saftey wire is only needed on the important things like axles and drain plugs ect.  Nylocs and Dzus fasteners should be good for the fairing.
