The mounting point for belts, 2" or 3", is critical for use with HNS. Check with your manufacturer.

I am in agreement that mounting points are critical as well as following the manufactures recommendations.

Hans and HNR are not one in the same.  not all HNR's are Hans Devices.

In many situations the Hans may be better suited for 2" Belts... Other Devices that also carry the SFI 38.1  may work with either 2" or 3" shoulder belts.

The BEST practice would be to consult the manufacturer of the device you prefer or the device you feel will work best for your application, then install using there recommendations.

The good news about this topic is we are talking about HNR's.. 3, 4 or 5 years ago we would not have been.  I am sure when we get in tech with new cars and HNR's or older cars up fitted for our new HNR's and lateral head supports we will have a few bugs to work out.

The main thing is to be calm and work things out,, this is new to the builder, the driver and even the tech guys.

We are on the right track, and these discussions here many times prevent or lessen the severity of any "heated" debates in the tech line.

Thanks guys for all your valuable input.

Check lateral head restraint compliance
Kill switch at rear or front of vehicle
No fuel lines in cockpit (or permission to have)
Inertia switch
New medical form required for every meet
DW

The Inertia switch is the same as last year? And this is only if an electric fuel pump is being used, correct?
