motorcycle leathers and other tech parts wanted
« on: May 20, 2011, 12:26:32 PM »
must be SCTA tech legal.  for 6'1" 185lbs rider.

Preferably pink since I'm scrounging them up for a farmboy - he'll love the pink hahahaha.

Anyway, my buddy wants to run some LSR.  Looking to get him tech legal.  Also looking for a Lanyard kill switch and metal chain guard for a 2008 GSXR1000.

MPS makes good kill switches as well. Definitely Tiger for guard and I have gotten all my leathers( 4 sets, for my son and I, before and after the All Cow Rule) on either E-Bay or Craigslist for good prices. Just be sure to ask about vent holes and fabric areas.

Just to follow up on this - I found a set of leathers for my buddy.  Willie Buchta will ride The Salt again.

Thanks Sheri

I'm going to resurrect this old thread - 'cause I got an email tonight from a fella asking about getting some (used) leathers for World Finals.  Here's his note:

Hi.  I'm looking for a used pair of leathers to ride at Bonneville in October.  Any help or directions is appreciated.  Michael Six Oh Eight 712 28 Oh One.

End of note for him -- best wishes.

Jon,

Better tell Michael 608 to post here with his height and weight for a better chance at finding some legal leathers, if he wants some safe and legal leathers please supply him the number for Z leathers, Bates, NJK leathers etc...

John

John,
Hundred dollar leathers for a hundred dollar body..

J

Lots of the used, but unused, leathers on CL and ebay started life as $1000 leathers that their owners outgrew or just stopped wearing when they quit the canyons...
Shopping is not a bad thing....

I have a set Mike can borrow, unless he is 5' 2" and 140....  Size does matter
