well I got the 250 motor apart. Just a little hole.No big deal. I will be back But not with this bike till September. June will be fun with my new bike.

The other piston looks good, do you know what happened?

Well I am not sure .Yes the other side is fine. I will have to do some testing of my nitrous system BUT it might have to do with my choice in pistons. I may have used forged pistons but the dome is to thin. Ether way I will not spray again until I figure this out. Steep learning curve going where no man has gone before ( on a 250 Ninja) :-P

Yes I have a nice shelf full of offerings to the God of speed.
Thank you to all the volunteers

Looks good,, I thought I heard a rpm spike (loss of traction) over a few bumps ?

The truck sounds  great. Looks good and stable. I hope to have a transmission that shifts as nice as yours soon. Congrats on the record.

Most notable loss of traction was upon leaving the push truck. One more time, after the 3-4 shift, I was too far right and it did a little dance but I only thought about lifting for a split second. Otherwise it was really stable and confidence inspiring. Thank you concrete, mickey thompson and asphalt.

Thanks Bill!

Check out this in-car video... I am feeling things out for the first run back after re-assembling the truck from the crash, so I am lazy shifting at 7,500 to 8,000rpm.  But, you can see how effortless the shifts are, my hands are relaxed and hardly pulling the knob at all.

Charles:  you are right about the RPM spikes... hard to believe that 4500lbs could lose traction but it is - we are learning where the truck likes to run and our later passes were much better.  Check out the spikes on here just after the 3-4 shift.  I might have puckered just a little on this one!

Deveral of David Whealon's photos have shown bikes (Dean and Greg for sure) getting off the ground just a bit at about the 3/4 mile. Do any of the car on board data collectors reflect any evidence of this?

No data collecter,,, however when in high gear pulling hard and the rpm spike 300 to 500 rpms and hits the rev limiter while rear end dances out a bit,,, on can only think the rear tires jumped off the track or at lease unloaded the suspension enough to loose traction...
