Finally got a release bearing I thing will work. A tilton 61-402. It will bolt to the Lakewood bell housing and work with the TEX 101A. All my parts will be here by Friday. The car will be back from the Chassis Shop on Friday. SO while my buds are running at Maxton, I will be thrashing wishing I was there.

Bill too early to tell. It was perfect in 2009 one week before WOS and as we pulled into Wendover it rained like crazy. Monday morning there was 6 inches on the track. We did tech on the road prior to land's end and on Wed. the wind and sun cleared the track and we raced. I think it is always a crap shoot. Good luck its alot of fun.

Bill, I'll add another note of support to Bob (Redcather)'s mention of conditions of the salt.  Here's the easy thing to do:  Go ahead and finish your preps for the event, and then hit the road so you get to Bonneville in time.  And - important thing here -- make sure you list your phone number so you can get "the" call during your trip to Wendover.  A handful of years ago Nancy and I were in the east-central part of Nebraska when "the call" got to us - so we turned around.  In fact -- we got about 6 calls within fifteen minutes, telling us that the meet had been cancelled.  Your fellow racers will help you out here -- don't have even one thought about driving any further than where you are when you get word.

And - conditions out there change very rapidly, so listen to every bit of information that you can find - and then hope like crazy that the race will go on as scheduled.

I hope that helps your planning.  See you on the salt.

Just got the new switch panel and fire pulls in and painted. The cage and seat are done. Now I can wire it up and install the RacePak. I will get it running again then change out the drive line. Then finish the new rear spoiler. Slow but steady.

Sounds like it's coming along well man. We have the sonoma partly took apart for a new rear gear, window film and some other things. Were you guys thinking about some high altitude dyno time before hitting the salt? I think it would be a good idea for us and any carbed car.

Ok so I spoke with Turbo Lab in Orem, Utah. They are $95 per hour to use their dyno so that is pretty good. We charge $125 an hour here at our shop in Nashville!!  He said to give him 3 days warning before we come so once we are sure that Bonneville is a go then we can set up an appointment.

Ok good. As of now it looks like they are holding off on course prep for Bonneville. Too wet on the salt. I was in Utah about a week ago and there is still alot of snow in the mountains and it has been raining. Not looking good for speedweek.

So now it looks like a go.    Bill when were you planning on arriving in Utah? We were hoping to get there on the 12th. So maybe we can meet you at the dyno shop on the 12th?
